The Department of Trade and Investment Promotion is held responsible for the business planning and coordination of CCPIT and its sub-councils and local branches across the country.  It also provides enterprises with a package of services including interpretation of government policies, business infomation and training programs, to enhance their management and competitiveness.

Apart from planning and coordinating exhibitions, conventions and events of CCPIT, the Department is authorized to administrate China’s organizing and participating in trade shows overseas, as well as foreign-related trade shows organized by sub-councils and local branches in China.

While CCPIT is entrusted by the Chinese government to participate in the Bureau of International Expositions (BIE) and World Expos, the Department is assigned to organize China Pavilion to Expos, and coordinate and manage Expo affairs.
